Power Generation

In support of the power generation industry and any facility utilizing stationary diesel engines subject to Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines – National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants [RICE – NESHAPs], Hypercat ACP provides diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) for 70% CO oxidation and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) which also will address hydrocarbon emissions reduction.

Hypercat is also experienced in providing SCR catalyst for NOx abatement, as well as particulate filters for PM reduction, which are key elements to successful compliance and environmental stewardship.

In addition to diesel powered engines at power generation facilities, Hypercat also provides catalysts to other power generating equipment such as gas-powered turbines. In each instance, Hypercat ACP is able to design a catalyst unit specifically addressing requirements such as space constraints, low back pressure, and the use of ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel (ULSD) to optimize the NO to NO2 reaction, etc. for each unique power generation application.

Frequently, existing generators for which new catalysts are being installed require a partial or whole exhaust system overhaul and/or retrofit. Hypercat has relationships with contractors experienced in emissions control installations, who provide turn-key servicing.

Numerous services are provided from the design of housings to hold the Hypercat catalyst to providing the necessary engineering, design and full installation support. Whether you are interested in meeting existing air emissions regulations, or are making changes to improve performance and/or stay ahead of pending rule changes, please contact Hypercat ACP to see what we can do for you.
